Country report of small-scale and rural industries mission India, Kenya, Gambia and Madagascar (May-July 1980)

Abstract

This report is the result of a mission to India and four selected African countries.It describes India's experience in the development of small-scale industries and small-scale industry units in Africa After noting that small-scale industries constitute a solid basis for stimulating and diversifying industrial development in Africa, the report explains the rational·behind the promotion of small-scale industries in Africa and constraints thereto.
