Abstract
This paper focuses on The African Centre for applied research and Training in Social Development. The objectives of the Centre is to assist the countries in the African region to train high-level social development personnel on the basis and in the context of the African experience and to serve as a forum for key personnel in social development through seminars, short-term training and applied research programmes, as well as through the development of teaching and research materials.
