This paper focuses on the meeting of the ad-hoc committee mandated to reflect on the future of the association which was held on 18 -19 February 1993 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. And the objective is to review the World Bank initiative supported by the EEC and the recent Franco-African move towards turning France Zone areas in West and Central Africa in to an economic community.
