Abstract
This paper focuses on measuring informal sector activity in Ghana. The principal aim of this paper is to provide a conceptual background to our attempt to measure the contribution of informal economic activity to the domestic product in Ghana in the context of the national accounts. It is not intended to be an exhaustive review of all the literature, nor is it intended to introduce radically new insights into the basic concepts.
