Report of the regional survey of external trade statistics
Abstract
This report presents the results of the Regional Survey of Internal Trade Statistics carried out at national statistics offices from 17 October 1984 to 31 May 1985. The aim of the survey was to obtain information on the sources and organization of external trade data, coverage trade systems, commodity classifications, valuation, and quantity measurement, partner countries the construction of index numbers and the processing of data. An attempt was also made to find out whether countries regularly sent their external trade statistics to the United Nations.
