This paper focuses on management of environmental degradation particularly drought and desertification aspects,in the implementation of Africa’s priority program for economic recovery. The report reviews the management of environmental degradation in Africa with specific reference to activities to combat the impacts of drought and the
process of desertification within the context of Africa's Priority Program for Economic Recovery (APPER).
