Abstract
This paper focuses on report of a training mission to IFORD-University of Yaounde II on research methods in social sciences Yaounde, Cameroon 18-31 May 1996. The main aspects examined during the lecture include : (a) subject, specificity and main common characteristics of social sciences; (b) utility, approaches and tools of research in social sciences; (c) main methodological steps in social sciences research; and, (d) analysis and interpretation of research results.
