African economic recovery within the ACP -EEC arrangement
Abstract
In this brief paper is divided into three sections. The first deals with the overall economic situation from an African view point. It reviews the standing of the ACP/EEC arrangement in terms of its contribution to solving some of the problems faced by the African economies, The second focuses attention on some of the lessons gained: as a result on the continuation of the arrangement. The third section of the paper concludes with suggestions of what needs to be negotiated and suggests possible strategies.
