The main objective of the mission was to assist the Ghana Government to prepare a project proposal on the Ghana household survey program within the framework of the NHSCP. The proposal was to be prepared after extensive discussions, with both producers and users of statistics in Ghana. As guide to the possible surveys which could be conducted in Ghana, the mission provided producers and users alike with the following list of possible survey topics; Income, consumption and expenditure ; Agricultural production/Farm Management/Disposal of Farm produce ; Food consumption ; Health and nutrition ; Demographic characteristics, fertility, mortality and migration, and family planning, Labor force; Women and development; children, youth and the aged; Housing, energy and environment; Household economic activities and Crop forecasting and Early Warning System.
