The paper focuses on African Platform for Action (APA) is synthesis of regional, subregional and national perspectives and priorities, and
framework for action for the formulation of policies and implementation of concrete and sustainable programmes for the advancement of women. It embodies and represents the voices and views of highly diverse constituencies: member States; NGOs; UN agencies; inter-governmental bodies; women's grassroots organizations and the youth.
