Abstract
This paper focuses on Impact of AIDS on material and child health. In Africa, HIV infection is principally transmitted through heterosexual contact. Transmission trough the other routes - blood, skin piercing instruments and from mother to child, accounts for less than 5 to 10 percent of all infection in Sub-Saharan Africa.
