Abstract

The UNDAT is interpreted as part of the implementation of the Economic Commission for Africa Resolutions 134(VII) and 178(VIII) and a positive response to the recommendations of the first, second and third ECA conferences of Ministers held in February 1971, February 1973 and February 1975 respectively; which requested the Executive Secretary of ECA to intensify the policy of decentralisation of the activities of the ECA, and requested the United Nations and its agencies to provide the ECA Secretariat with adequate resources.
