Operational information requested by IDEP governing council at its seventh meeting

Abstract

This document focuses on the operational information requested by IDEP governing council at its seventh meeting.While there are institutions in Africa known,to be giving similar-type of training to that in the IDEP programme, there is none Known, to give training of the scope and orientation of "the IDBP programme* Some national institutions give training in planning and development techniques' (e.g. the.Institute of National Planning, Cairo), others teach statistics and applied economics which have relevance to planning (e.g. the HTSEA, Babat) but none possesses the Africa-view or the range of subjects found in the IDEP training programme. In this respect, IDBP is unique in Africa.
