The paper focuses on African development problems and perspectives.The Committee for Development Planning will focus its attention on the elaboration of regional and subregional aspects of the internationaldevelopment strategy for the third United Nations developmont dGcade. For this purpose the secretariats of the four regional commissions of the United Nations "ere each'requested to "prepare a paper on specific Na;y'S in Nhich the international community might help to implement regional and subregional development priorities.
