Abstract
This paper focuses on ECA five year programme on pre-vocational and vocational training of girls and women, toward their full participation in development (1972-1976). The object of the study is to update the studies done from 1959 – 62, which may be used as base-lines to determine the present position of market women- their use of cooperatives and credit unions, access to loans and credit, book keeping methods, assessment of market fluctuations, use of adult education and so forth.
