The African Census program me was primarily designed to assist those countries which had found it difficult to participate in the 1970 World Program me of Population and Housing Censuses. Its current objectives were to assist the processing, and analysis of the seven.
censuses already completed and to ensure the successful implementation of censuses in remaining fifteen countries in the Programme.
