The Third Regular Meeting of the Association of African Central Banks was held in Lagos from 20 to 24 August 1973 at the Nigerian Institute of International affairs, and discussed the association of African central banks.The need for African monetary institutions to
devise more positive ways-of contributing to the economic, development of Africa as a whole. and the Association to identify a common African position on the current reform of the international monetary system and to study ways of minimizing the losses which Africa might suffer as a result of measures taken by the developed countries in support of their own economies.
