Abstract
The average density in total area of the African continent was estimated in 1966 by 11 persons per square kilometer as compared to world total at 25 which is considered to be the most sparsely populated of all the world, regions. The most densely populated sub-regions are the West and the East, (16 and 15 persons per square kilometer respectively)
