This paper focuses on the ECA Conference of Ministers will review progress made towards the implementation of its resolution 736 (XXVII) on "Women and access to resources in the 1990s" which invited member States to promote the setting up of national associations of women entrepreneurs and ECA to facilitate the establishment of a federation of African women entrepreneurs. Additionally, the same resolution requested ECA, in collaboration with the Organization of African Unity (OAU) and the African Development Bank (ADB), to study the feasibility of creating an African bank for women in an attempt to facilitate accessibility of resources to women.
