Report of the working group on the treatment of non-monetary (subsistence) transactions within the framework of national accounts

Abstract

The working Group on the Treatment of Non-Monetary (subsistence) Transactions within the framework of National accounts met in Addis Ababa,- from 27 June to 2 July 1960. The working group originated in a proposed made by the First Conference of African Statisticians. The Conference recommended that the ECA Secretariat should consult with the experts of the region in order to convene a working group of experts in 1960 which should draw up a list of recommendations for the non-monetary (subsistence) transactions within the framework of national accounts, covering problems of concepts, definitions, and valuations.
