World economic survey 1972 : current economic developments

Abstract

The present report is the twenty-fourth in the series of Surveys published annually by the United Nations in response to General Assembly resolution 118 (I I). As requested in the resolution, it reviews current trends in the world economy.the report is factual in nature and is intended this year to complement the document prepared in connection with the biennial appraisal of progress under the International Development Strategy. 1/ One o f its main purposes is thus to bring up to date the information presented in the appraisal documents.
