The United Nations Population Fund has been playing a crucial role in helping the global community to address population issues in relation to sustainable development. Over the years UNFPA has primarily focused its assistance on creating favorable social and institutional conditions for women and men to make informed, free and responsible choices. We are convinced at this is a right way to achieve the global population goal of meeting as a minimum the UN medium variant population projection, which would allow in the long run to stabilize the world population around 10 billion people.
