Annual report on Regional Integration in Africa (ARIA-2001): annoted outline of ARIA 2001

Abstract

This paper was presented and discussed at the meeting of the ECA Follow-up Committee held in Abuja, Nigeria in May 2000. Sequel to this meeting, two papers were prepared by ECA for presentation and discussion at the African Knowledge Network Forum (AKNF) in August 2000 in Addis Ababa: one was an issues paper on regional integration in Africa including a draft outline of ARIA, while the other was on a methodology for calculating indices of economic integration efforts in Africa.
