This paper focuses on the report of Third Regional Conference on the Development and Utilization of Mineral Resources in Africa. In pursuance of the recommendations of the first and second conferences, the third regional conference would review progress in the implementation of the recommendations of the two previous conferences; examine national mineral development policies in order to determine how these policies could be improved to enhance co-operation by member states; consider possibilities of establishing African commodity
