| dc.description.abstract | The mission to Sierra Leone was undertaken at the request of the Central Monitoring Unit (CMU) of Ministry of Transport and Communications to assess the status of transport statistics in the country. This was in response to a visit to the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), in 1998, of a Data Analyst from the CMU. The objective of that visit was to introduce the Data Analyst to activities and achievements of the Phase I of the regional Transport Data Base, which ECA implemented from 1992 to 1995 in collaboration with the World Bank within the framework of UNTACDAII. | en |
