Implementation of resolutions of the fifth meeting of the conference of African ministers for transport, communications and planning

Abstract

In 1986 ECA organized a co-financing meeting in Pointe Noire, Peoples Republic of Congo, for projects in the two transit corridors linking the landlocked countries (Central African Republic and Chad) to the ports of Douala and Pointe Noire. A full report was submitted to the 10th meeting of the Inter-Agency Co-ordinating Committee of UNTACDA (IACC) in February 1987 in Addis Ababa. The two co-financing meetings which had been scheduled to be held in Bujumbura and Ouagadougou in 1987 for projects in transit corridors of Eastern Africa and West Africa respectively, had unavoidably to be postponed to 1988. There were, thus, no co-financing meetings in 1987.
