Abstract
This paper focuses on Consolidated report on the proceedings of the fifth African Regional Conference on Women. African women are beset by numerous obstacles - at social, political, economic and cultural levels, generated both internally and externally, they are nevertheless on the march, with an indomitable resolve and optimism. in contrast to the reality of several decades ago, African women are now operating in a climate full of hope and promise for a better day.
