Résumé
Information and Communications Technology (lCT) offers potentially powerful tools to improve the fight against HIV/AIDS. ICT provides opportunities for innovative solutions, raising the visibility of issues and enabling the potential for limitless knowledge development and information sharing across all boundaries. The rationale of this study is to assess the ICT needs of stakeholders in addressing the challenge of HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia. The main objective of the study was to assess the lCT needs and to examine the current state of HIV/AIDS stakeholders and to investigate the nature and extent of ICT provision in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The study tries to form a picture of the HIV/AIDS stakeholders ICT environment. This survey report looks at the role of ICT in addressing the challenges of HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia. The report provides an overview of HI V/AIDS, the way lCTs are being used to address the pandemic and some preliminary information on the views of HIV/AlDS stakeholders in the country.
