Abstract
In Africa as in the world ever, the family is the battle unit of society distinct peculiarities and diversities in _ each environment. It is the social institution within which child beating and child up bringing take place. The wide diversity in family structures stems the variety in societal value and in relation to the function they accomplish and the support system.
