The general objective of the workshop was to assist the educators be clearer of educational goals; tools and technology available to them; nature and dynamics of classroom teaching; philosophy of teaching community and school environment and professional competence of the teacher. The specific objectives of the workshop were to enable participants to:
(i) Review the status effectiveness and operational modalities of learning and teaching;
(ii) Review teacher education and formulate strategies for improved teaching
(iii) Review assesses and formulates strategies for the development of instructional materials, tools and
equipment for improved teaching;
(iv) Formulate strategies for improved and effective teaching at various levels of education system and
(v) Review and develop strategies for effective evaluation of student learning.
