Model letters of appointment of the African Development Bank

Abstract

The paper deals on the Conference of Finance Ministers which entrusted the Committee of Nine to carry out the work preparatory to the establishment of the ADB, requested that Committee, inter- alia, to draft for the Bank legal instruments which may promote or advance the effective commencement of its activities. In pursuance of this mandate the Committee requested the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa to prepare preliminary drafts of Letters of Appointment which the -first -President of the Bank may use for recruitment of the staff of the Bank.
