Résumé
Revenue generating activities are activities that are undertaken for the purpose of raising income. However, it must be noted whether this is the only purpose or there are also other conjunctive objectives with it inter-alia, for example, educational objectives such as imparting of practical experience or provision of ancillary services as well. When an activity is stated to be income-generating it must be explicitly resolved whether the income expected is to be eventually self-financing, that is covering cost fully, and or generating surplus above cost and thus support declining government budgetary appropriations. If an activity does not cover cost or manage to finance itself, then the extent of expecting continuing of the activity with subsidy must be realized in advance.
