This paper focuses on rationalization of electric power production and consumption. The expansion of electric power consumption within the general economic framework aims at the substitution of this form of power for others, if that is of advantage to the national economy, as for example, if the country is rich in energy resources that can be economically converted into electric power, such as hydraulic energy, geothermic energy in the form of steam, and lignite.
