Professor H. A. Turner, Consultant, was invited in 1980 to edit and publish the 1978 Conference paper on Migratory Labour in Southern Africa, Following consultations with him at ECA Headquarters in Addis Abafr1 a, Professor Turner agreed to undertake the work. In May, 1980, the Swedish Agency for Research Co-operation with Developing Countries (SARES) provided funds for the publication to proceed.
