A preliminary assessment of the performance of the African economy in 1986 and prospects for 1987
Abstract
African countries experienced for the first time in several years, growth rates in their GDP of 3 per cent and above. Unfortunately, nine countries which incidentally happen to be the larger ones
economically, continued to experience a negative growth
rate.
