| dc.description.abstract | The principal objective has been to assess in concrete terms possibilities of industrial development over the next decade or so in East and Central Africa, with the primary emphasis on projects serving more than one country. It-follows that special emphasis has been given to industries the minimal- economic scale of output of which is beyond the likely market of any individual country in the sub-region.
