Annotated provisional agenda: African economic and social crisis: review, prospects and perspectives
Abstract
The present report (Document E/ECA/CM.11/27) provides a brief account of the special debates that took place in ECOSOC, in the General Assembly and at the OAU 20th Summit. The' declarations adopted at the 39th Session of the General Assembly and the 20th Session of the Assembly of\ heads of State and Government of the OAU are also analyzed. Finally, some follow-up activities are also reviewed particularly the recent initiatives of the Secretary-General after the adoption of the Declaration of the General Assembly on the Critical Economic situation in Africa and the decision of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the OAU to devote its 21st ordinary session in 1985 mainly to economic issues.
