The information presented on the following pages has been collected over the past two years, not for this specific paper but in connection with our work on financing of low-cost housing in Kenya generally. Wherever the information is not up- to date, this will be pointed out, likewise there may be policies, which have turned out differently than envisaged. This will also be clear from the context.
