Abstract
This paper focuses on seminar on the state of world poverty Nairobi, Kenya, 18 June 1993. The Economic Commission for Africa has just evolved a special priority programme called "Poverty Alleviation through Sustainable Development" and is making serious efforts to operationalize this important programme.
