Mission report : case of the environment programme component of the West African MULPOC

Abstract

This mission was carried within the context of the present process for the renewal and restructuring of ECA. In this process, serious though was given to reviewing the role of the Multinational Programming and Operational Centres (MULPOCs) and how to strengthen them, and to assist the OIC/Niamey MULPOC in further developing a programme to enhance the environmental component for member States in that subregion. The conclusions are also guided by resolutions 809(XXXI) and 810(XXXI) adopted by the ECA conference of Ministers on 8 May 1996.
