Abstract
The objective of this paper is to put forward the principles on which a Law may be framed for the establishment and development of national housing banks in member states of the economic commission for Africa. It has relationship with proposals advanced by an advisory group of housing finance experts under UN headquarters subspecies. It has relationship also with the proceedings of the conference on the human environment held in Stockholm in 1972 and in particular to questions concerning human settlements and the necessity of for a fund to serve operations in the improvement and establishment of resolution 2999 (XXVII) at the 27th general assembly of the United Nations.
