This document presents the Report of the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP) ,1993/94; 1994/95. During the period under review, the various programmes in training, research and consultancy services experienced some dynamism as new activities were initiated in some while innovations were introduced in others. The new activities initiated were in connection with IDEP's Medium-term Strategic Plan (1996-2000) presented for sponsorship at a Donors' Conference in December 1995. The training activities implemented during the reporting period were the Basic Diploma Programme and three of the Specialization Courses: Industrial Development; Population, Human Resources and Development; and Agricultural Policy Analysis. Regarding tailor-made short-term training workshops, IDEP has renewed contacts with member States and collaborating institutions for the organization of such workshops within the framework of the Medium-term Plan.
