Report of the Meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts of the Whole on Industrialization in Africa

Abstract

The meeting was underlined two important areas, namely the industrial development of Africa during the 1980s and the draft program for the Second IDDA. With regard to the first subject, he indicated the poor performance of the manufacturing sector during the 1980s despite efforts made by African countries to lay the foundation for self-reliant and self-sustained industrialization.
