Biennial report of the Executive Secretary 1988-1989

Abstract

The present report covers the activities undertaken by the Economic Commission for Africa during the 1988-1989 biennium to assist member States and their intergovernmental organizations to tackle their soc io-economic and technological development problems.The conceptual framework and operational basis of the Commission's work program and priorities in this period as in the biennium immediately preceding it was the United Nations Program of Action for African Economic Recovery and Development 1986-1990 (UN- PAAERD).
