Abstract
This Report has been prepared to highlight the activities undertaken by the African Development Bank in the last ten years in support of the objectives of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (PFA). The Report provides information at two levels: first, it details measures at the institutional level that aim to enhance the Bank's own internal effectiveness, as an institution, to promote gender mainstreaming and the empowerment of women in its development work. Secondly, it provides information on actions related to Bank policies, programs, projects and initiatives that are being implemented within the context of its assistance to Regional Member Countries (RMCs).
