The Second Regional Conference of African Ministers Responsible for the Development and Utilization of Mineral and Energy Resources in Africa, with the main theme focusing on « Strengthening cooperation among development actors in the sustainable development and utilization of mineral and energy resources in Africa », was held at Durban, South Africa from 21-22 November 1997.
