Abstract

Index to African Official Publications marks the beginning of an expanded service being launched by the Library of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) to routinely inform its users about the increasing volume of African official and intergovernmental publications received by the ECA Library. Recognizing the extreme value of these publications as authentic sources of data and information on various aspects of national/international life of its Member States and Intergovernmental Organizations, the Library has intensified efforts to systematically collect and process the publications so as to share knowledge about them.
