The Survey for 1977-1978 is also the fourth biennial review of progress during -the .Second United Nations Development Decade and is published in two parts. Part I includes a summary and after reviewing the.international economic situation and the international development strategy it then provides information on economic and social developments in the African region this decade Part II covers current economic developments- and po-licies of the individual countrxes of the ECA region for the period 1970 to 1978.
