Abstract
Technological progress in transport is the key element- in the development of modern tourism. The automobile and the road construction, "by reducing the costs and improving the comfort of family travel, have created the phenomenon of mass-mobility in domestic and regional tourism? progress in air transportation has in fact created large-scale overseas tourism* The increase in safety, speed and size of aircraft and the decrease in transportation costs are as much responsible for its rapid and continuous growth as are the rising incomes in the tourist-generating countries.
