Programme of work and priorities 1975 and 1976

Abstract

The following programme of work and priorities for 1975 and 1976 has been extracted from documents E/CN. 14/TECO/22/Rev. l/Corr. 1 as it relates to 1974 to 1975 and E/CN. 14/TECO/23/Rev. 2 as it relates to 1976-1979- It forms part of the programme of work and priorities for 1974-1976, with projections to 1979, which was originally prepared and subsequently reviewed in 1974 in consultation with the Executive Committee and the Technical Committee of Experts of the Economic Commission for Africa in the light of the recommendation of Department of Economic arid Social Affairs of the United Nations and Other related bodies of the United Nations prior to its endorsement by the Conference of Ministers at its second and third meetings held at Accra from 19 to 23 February 1973 and at Nairobi from 24-28 February 1975- This two-year programme is in line with Commission resolution 212(IX) which requests the Executive Secretary to present precise work plans for successive periods of two years based on the progress of work in the preceding biennium and takes into account projects which could not be executed during 1974 as-well as recommendations of the Technical Committee of experts at its fifth meeting held at Addis Ababa from 17 to 21 February 1975
